2010 Theme: The Next Generation

A new generation has come of age, shaped by years of attending the Celebrate Romania Retreats.  This group of young adults has grown up with each other; they are connected via cell and internet 24/7.  They are now taking their place in the planning and execution of the event. They are devoted to its success, they are optimistic about the future.  They want this retreat to be educational but also social, addressing their multicultural background.  They want the retreat program to reflect their outlook, their lifestyle and their social and political issues.

New Location for Retreat/Reunion

The new location for the 2010 Celebrate Romania Retreat is the Radisson Hotel by The Mall of America, www.radisson.com/bloomingtonbymoa .  This is a great facility with many amenities and  a great location that we believe will attract group members to attend the Retreat as a family destination as well.  Please click on the link and preview the hotel and the Water Park of America.

Two Payment Option

You may take the two payment option by making a 50% payment with your registration before April 1, 2010. The balance is due May 1, 2010.

Traditions in Festival

This media presentation will present the Romanian folk arts of religious arts, folk literature, traditional crafts, music and dance, folk technique and gastronomy.

Celebrate Romania Board of Directors Organizational Meeting

We will discuss the formation of a Celebrate Romania Board of Directors that will share responsibilities for ongoing and upcoming Celebrate Romania activities.

Remember to bring your special addition this year!!!

• Birthplace Photo or collection of photos; 8 ½” x 11”
• “Let Me Tell You My Adoption Story” 10 minute presentation or story board
• Written story, poster board, pictures, video clips etc.
• Individual or family presentations
• Be creative.
• Requires advance preparation at home.
• Individual and family setup on Friday evening
• Talent-No Talent Show entry & props (if needed)
• Closing Ceremony song, skit, reading, memories, etc. to share
• Your excitement & enthusiasm for having the time of your life!!!
